i like how this course was put together and feel the way you did it was much more beneficial to people (as i can tell from the comments on polycount already :D ).
I think by diving in and showing people 'why you do something, and how you go about it' instead of a step by step 'pull this vert, pull that vert, then extrude this' tutorials you see out there makes the 3d artist (or person interested in 3d art) really 'think' about what they are creating and why. Try to do it on their own with little hints here and there by a very qualified professional.

Thanks again for what you did Troy, and can't wait to see what you surprise everyone with next!
